A micro is the smallest end of the breed: under 11 inches tall, with the full bulldog build. Small size comes from breeding small bulldog to small bulldog over generations, the same way smaller sizes came about in other breeds.

A mini stands under 13 inches tall. Same bulldog look, same personality, with a little more size than a micro.
Why height matters more than weight
Weight moves around. It depends on feeding and how heavy the bone is. A dog can weigh little just because it's thin-boned, and that's not what you want in a bulldog. Height doesn't lie, so that's what I go by.
How to spot a fake “mini”
Most bulldog videos online are deceiving. A big dog can look tiny with the right camera angle. Protect yourself:
- Ask for the height of both parents, not just the puppy's weight.
- Ask for video of the parents moving, not posed photos.
- Be careful with wide-angle close-ups that make a dog look small.
- Meet the dogs in person if you can.
