14 Days to Train a Bulldog Puppy: Sit, Stay & Come in 5 Minutes a Day (Day 2)

14 days, five minutes. Can we do it? Stay. Sit. Follow us on the dog train journey. Come. Let's go. All right. Day session one. Can we teach a puppy in 14 days, 5 minutes a day to sit, stay, and come? So, let's get right back to it. If you missed out on lots of my teaching directions, um the the the tips, tricks, and training methods, especially training methods, it's going to be definitely go watch the um day one because that's where like the longest episode and where I'm going to put most of it and where I talked about lots of our methods. But here we go. Always always praising, ignoring bad behavior, and consistent with our signals, our voice, what we say, and making them.

Do it, not repeating oursel too many times. Okay. The smoke eye contact. Sit. See, that's crazy. There's only one day now. Did he sit because he was going to sit? Oh, got to stop saying the word. Or did he just do it because he's being such a good boy? That's insane. That the smoke the smoke stay.

Good boy. Good boy. And again, I only be rewarded with love. Treats are once in a while, but I never make that consistent because I just want them. They love love, especially bulldogs and, you know, all dogs. And then um some dogs are not treat driven, but all dogs are love driven. Oh my good boy. See, I just make it a nice session. I don't want this to be bad. If he I don't get frustrated and I ignore bad behavior. The smoke come. Good boy. Good boy.

The smoke sit. The smoke stay. The smoke come. Yes. Good boy. Oh, day two is going amazing. We got this. I'm going to have to change this thing. But I think we're going to do it, but he's going to be insane. Like on on commands, do all the stuff that needs to be done when um day 14's up. I'm not sure, honestly. I think I think day 10 he'll be perfect, but I could be the smoke sit.

I think we're we're going to just do a couple more. And you see how they they these these these um three three teaching things these three um methods they all link you know we have the sit we have the here and then we have the the ce I don't want to say the words I want to be used I want the only time you use it he does a command and then I know you might say oh he learns the sequence like but once he learns the sequence then we'll mix it up and then really show.

That that he knows what we're saying and what we're commanding. Okay here we go. Hey, just smoke. Sit. Sit. Good. So, I I'll say it once and as I command them, I'll say it again. The smoke stay. So, I make them to smoke. Ah.

To smoke. He's just trying to bite me and play, but I'm just ignoring it. Smoke. The smoke stay. And you notice how this is the longest session of stay of the sta. Why? And I'm done. The smoke stay. Eye contact. The smoke. Come. Good boy. Good boy. Good boy. Good boy. Now we play. Just play a little bit. Now do now we'll play with him.

Make him happy. He loves to play. Obviously, he's a he's a he's a puppy. And he's a bulldog puppy. And if I can teach this bullog puppy to do what I want to do and what we're talking about the the three commands in 14 days, you pretty much teach any any any puppy, especially, you know, we're talking about when you're talking about like a golden retriever, something like that, which are they're just designed to immediately listen. Bulldogs are a little bit more hard-headed. But this boy, you going to listen, right, smoke? All right, so day one. I'm at day two. Session one in the books. We'll do another fiveminute session for session two and session three. And that's a wrap. Just smoke. Say bye-bye.

Let's let's do one more. Just smoke. Come. Good boy. Good boy. Come. And the sta one are the most important, especially for his safety. My safety and meal to control the dog, which is very important. All right, stay tuned. Session two coming. Good boy. Pee pee pee pee pe. Good. Anytime they they're doing the potty, I say it so they get used to it and they go they go outside. So I can they'll actually learn that command that every time they go pee pee I say pee. So you can eventually start taking them outside. This is another training method where you can take them outside and just say that word and now they learn. So every time he does the the pe thing, I say.

It and now he associates, okay, that's this is what it means. And then eventually I can take him out and say, hey, go this. And he immediately goes and then so training a dog lots of times too, just understanding what to do. Like that right there is just something we do. And it's like no extra hass, no extra work because he's going to do it anyway and just eventually teaches them. So just tricks like that make training a dog so much easier and so much more time effective and efficient. All right, let's go. Day two, session two. The smokeman. Can we do it? Train a puppy in 5 minutes a day to sit, stay, and come. The most important.

Commands, at least the stay and come are the most important commands you a dog can ever know, especially for the safety for you, to have a good relationship with a dog. So, let's do it. Can we do it? I think we can do it. I think we're on pace to do it a little bit beforehand, but um here we go. Session two, five minutes max, but uh most likely I'll do it by two or three. Okay, so let's get to work. And we're just working on on.

Real easy commands and um and we're going to work on the duration this time, especially with the sta one. I want say one. I want um the smokeman to to really do that. And then and then sda the y there. I'm not going to say the words. Okay. So the smokeman sits. Good. Good boy. The smokeman stay.

The smoke come. Good boy. That was really good. And the the goal is make him sty for a long time. Come from from far distances and do the sti um uh one whenever I want him to. Okay. So, the smokeman eye contact. Sit.

Sit. Good boy. The smokeman. Stay. The smokeman. Come. Good boy. Good boy. We're going to play with him for a second. He just woke up. So, he's like a little groggy. It's actually probably good. He's not biting me or anything. Normally, this little guy is biting me. If you like this little guy,.

Any progress towards what your the command is is definitely a reward and then again we don't just keep on saying like I don't say the it one and then say again and again again I say it then I make him do it and then as he's doing it I say say it again so the smokeman sit.

Sit. Good boy. The smokeman stay. He's getting a little distracted by the camera, but it's not it's not a problem. Doesn't doesn't matter at all. Just ignore it. Keep on going. Just smokeman. Stay. Just make him make him stay. Just holding his hip down. No pain.

The the hard thing that sort of deters people with training a dog is that especially a puppy is that they see no progress for the first couple days and all a of sudden it just clicks to them and they're doing it and then it's amazing, you know, and you got to remember this is a baby. He just wants to play. He's just learning. He's just understanding everything just like a just like a any any baby. Let's let's get him to do a little bit more. I don't know what the time is. What time is it? All right, we're doing good. Let's do a couple more. The smokeman.

Let me get his attention first. The smokeman coming. Good. Oh, he's gonna pee. Good boy. Look at look at him peeing. Look at the smoke man peeing. There we go. All right, the smokeman come. Good boy. And that could have been um messing him up because he was focusing on his pee. The smokeman come. Good boy. Good boy, smokeman. Sit. Good boy. Good boy, smokeman. Come. Good boy. Now, he might have been in the middle of sitting there, but he's he oh man, I got to stop. He might have been in the middle of siting right there, but um as he did it, I said good, right? So, I think, you know, obviously reaffirms the process of him doing it is very very good. Or.

The smokeman. Come. Good boy. Good boy. Very good progress. I don't if know you noticed, but he he he does a lot better in the very beginning, I think, because he lose a little bit of focus. That's why I don't try to stress it and do too and do too much. The smoke.

When they when they bite me, I'll pin if they bite too hard, the hand they're biting, I'll just immediately pinch them back. It's a little trick I I've taught. Not too hard. I don't do it to hurt them. Just to show them. Hey, that's too hard. Hey,.

Always want to win. That's for a little bit, but it's very, very, very important. Last session of the day, too. So, and I don't if know you've noticed, but today we are filming uh an episode of of our best bulls. So, we had our camera guy here. Meanwhile, I'm filming this for you as well, too, teaching, you know, just, you know, um, dog obedience. That's a wrap. Day two, day three, I believe, is going to be we're going to have a lot of success and definitely obviously every day it's going to get better and better. I think my prediction in this 14-day challenge is that he'll be fully trained.
