How Do I Avoid Bulldog Puppy Scams?

The short answer

Always FaceTime before you pay anything. You should see the breeder's face and mouth moving while they talk to you, say your name, and show you exactly what you ask for, live. A puppy video with a voice over it can be stolen from anywhere.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is: a great puppy at a cheap price is the classic scam. Watch out for AI-made pictures of dogs and studs that don't exist. And check the breeder's real accounts: mine are listed on my official channels page.

What a real breeder FaceTime looks like.

What a real FaceTime looks like

This is what you should see when a breeder FaceTimes you or sends you a video. Not just a puppy with a voice in the background. You should see them talking to you, their mouth moving, maybe saying your name, answering your specific questions, then showing you the puppy. "Can I see the feet?" And they show you.

A voice behind a puppy video proves nothing: that can be stolen from anywhere online. We're one of the most scammed and impersonated breeders in the world, and people use our puppies and dogs to scam people all the time. Be very careful.

Hundreds of fake accounts use my name

I'm the only owner of DaBestBulls Ranch, the only Jason Soares, and there are hundreds of accounts scamming people every day pretending to be me, using my videos. I'll never make an excuse for why I can't FaceTime you.

Scammers use pre-recorded videos of me holding a dog, or just a video of a dog. On a real FaceTime with me you'll see me, my mouth moving, answering your questions with real answers.

There's an old saying: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Scammers go after your heartstrings with a super cute puppy at a cheap price. To do what we do, at the level we do it, with the care and the service and the quality of life our puppies get, it's impossible to do it cheap.

If anything feels off, contact me on a different platform to check it's really me: I'll always tell you. My number is (305) 393-2225, and if you see a suspicious account, message me and we'll get it reported and shut down.

Watch out for AI: fake dogs and fake studs

AI is becoming a problem. Breeders are using it to lie about their dogs' quality and show you fake pictures. So I tested it: I asked AI to make a really nice, thick mini bulldog stud. It's almost impossible to tell it's fake, especially if you're not in the business. Put that dog in my kitchen and you'd think it was real.

I made this video because I saw a very well-known bulldog kennel doing this: showing what I believe is an AI-made stud, with championships and all. Even when I told the AI to copy King Escobar, the fakes didn't look as good, or as healthy and mobile, as the real thing.

Now people can show you parents, grandparents or even a stud that isn't a real dog, and you could end up with fake semen or a puppy that isn't what they said. That's why I always say: FaceTime, see the dogs live, and do your due diligence.
