The TRUTH About Mini & Micro Bulldogs (What Nobody Tells You)

>> so, mini bulldogs, there's a lot of misinformation and myths and I'm going to sort of squash them right now. And a lot of people it's a super common question. A lot of people ask me, how do you get mini bulldogs? And just with all other breeds, so we understand I I've said I'm I'm sort of harping on this, with all other breeds that have got gotten down to a smaller size, it's just generations of breeding small dog to small dog. In the bulldog's sake, it's small bulldog to small bulldog >> and then you get small bulldog or you get a couple that are big and then a couple that are small and you take the smaller ones and you breed them to another small bulldog.

And of course, that's the simplified method, you know, we always have to take into into into consideration. This is why the DaBestBulls Ranch and [music] the best bulls puppies are the best bulls puppies. We have to take into consideration the health, the functionality, the structure, the breeding, the temperament, all those things >> as well as the size. But, holding everything else constant, it's just as simple as taking a small bulldog to a small >> and seeing what how many what the puppies look like. And maybe doing it again and maybe taking one of those small bulldogs to another bulldog and maybe taking another small bulldog to a full-size bulldog and see what you get and mixing [music] it up. And that's how mini bulldogs were created,.

Are created and are being created and that's how that's what we do. No, we don't mix them >> with anything else. We don't mix them with chihuahuas. We don't mix them with the we do it, you know, the proper way which is which is slower >> um and it's also slower because when you breed for health and temperament and functionality, it's slower because sometimes you might have a small bulldog not doesn't move the best, >> can't be bred, you know, even though it's small. Um that's why, you know, people get bad name for with mini miniature dogs because sometimes they don't follow those rules >> and um they get unhealthy, bad dogs. But, it's very simple, too. And to get a little more into depth with it,.

>> you see more consistency in the small and that's again why the best bulls has the name, the reputation. We are very consistent because you get you get more consistency in the lines the more generations you have of mini or micro bulldogs. So, like for example, Escobar is small, right? He's a mini. His dad is tiny. His dad is is sancho. And being that his dad is even smaller and that his mom is small and that his grandpa is small, Escobar [music] continuously makes small mini bulldogs and even micro bulldogs. And you're like wondering why is he making dogs that are even smaller than him? It's because his dad is smaller than him. So, those >> that blood obviously carried over in Escobar's blood and transfers over.

And then, when you bring in another female that's small and has those good bloodlines that transfer over because it's about consistency. [music] consistency transfers over. You get mini and micro bulldogs. [music] you know, and real quick, mini bulldogs a standard bulldog is 14-17 in 14-17 in tall, 40-60 lb. That's what the AKC says. >> honestly though, most standard bulldogs are even bigger than that. Um, being bigger than the 14-17 in tall >> and most of the bulldogs you see in these days and most even lot heavier 50-80 lb. Mini bulldogs you're looking at.

In tall, shorter. And you're looking at somewhere in the 30-45 lb. Still very compact, very big and true, you know, 30-45 lb. And micro, even smaller, 11 and under, tiny tiny tiny. Um, like like the DaMilkMan, like Mr President, like some of our other dogs. And they're um, they're going to be 11 in and under. We have some now that are in the 9 in. Really tiny. And um, weight wise you're looking at in the 20s, low 20s >> to high 30s. So, it's really cool. Mini bulldogs are a real thing and just like any other other other miniature dog, you know, the miniature doodles, all those things that that that that are coming, it takes time. Um, and you want whenever you're looking at anything.

Any anything in a dog dogs, [music] you want to make sure you do your research, find the best breeder that you can find for yourself that has the best, you know, program [music] which has the best parents, which has the best puppies and then you going to get your puppy and then follow our our our 3p perfect puppy pyramid where you go program.

To pick your puppy. But, yeah, bulldogs the mini bulldog is real. That's why we also show so many mini bulldogs. We don't have we don't just show you one >> you know, mini bulldog and say we have mini bulldogs because if you only have one or two mini.

What are you breeding to? You breeding to standards? And then if you breed a standard bulldog to a mini bulldog, >> you're not going to get consistent mini bulldogs. You might get one, two, three, four, five mini bulldogs and the um standard. Uh so, you want to see consistency. And then also consistency in the program >> shows, you know, it's like proof of concept. It's like, "okay, well, I want mini bulldogs. He has like 10 mini bulldogs. [music] probably can produce mini bulldogs, you know?" so, it's just a it's just a time-based thing and [music] there are people that have mini bulldogs and that do it properly. And there's also people that do it wrong as well, too. So, I urge you to go out there, do.

And sometimes actually, too, and I'm going down a tangent I was going went down it I was going to end it right there. Sometimes, [music] too, so this is like the inter season and the craziness that goes behind like breeding properly. >> you have a mini bulldog, right? Like king Escobar is a mini bulldog. And I want to bring new blood in. So, I might [music] use you know, AKC world champion standard size bulldog female bred to king Escobar. Am I going to get all mini [music] bulldogs? Probably not. Um me Escobar is a very good stud. He like that's why he is such a good.

Stud. He always produces at least some of [music] what he is. Um depending on how consistent the bloodlines are as far as like you know what all that stuff you're trying to whatever you're trying to accomplish, but let's say I bring [music] a you know world champion AKC bulldog into my bloodlines which I have done so to make it so we [music] get better bulldogs. Um and I breed Escobar to that.

I'm and I get five puppies. I might only get two that are are that are [music] small. Right? But now I have consistent more consistent there. The mom was a you know world champion AKC standard size bulldog bred to Escobar and I keep these two, breed them [music] to another small, and now I get even small I get small bulldogs that have even better structure, better health, better functionality, better moving, better breeding, all those things. So um [music] so that being being said, you can breed mini to standard, you can breed micro to standard, you can do all those things. It's just going to it's going to water down the consistency, [music] but there's also reasons why you want to do that as well as.

Well too. Maybe you just want to mix litter. Maybe you just want some mini, [music] some standard, maybe even some micro because Escobar I've seen I've seen DaMilkMan Escobar and all my studs [music] bred to standard size females and produce micro uh puppies. Not all of them of course, but I have seen some which is amazing. It's crazy. [music] so make sure you click the like, subscribe.
