Are English Bulldogs Hard to Take Care Of?

The short answer

Bulldog care can be very easy or very hard, and it mostly depends on one thing: the quality of the bulldog, meaning the breeder and the program it comes from. A well-bred bulldog is an easy dog.

The basics: keep them clean, keep them cool in the heat, and supervise them outside. As adults, properly bred bulldogs are easy dogs to live with; puppies are more work.

The one thing that decides it: quality

Bulldog care can be very easy or very hard. It depends on one thing: the quality of the bulldog you get, from the breeder and the program you get it from. That goes for all dogs.

Myths about bulldogs

Common misconceptions: bulldogs can't play outside, can't be in the sun, can't run around, can't go up stairs, have too many health problems. That could be true or not with any breed. Get a properly bred bulldog from a good line, and you get an amazing English bulldog. This is our mini stud Fury Jr.

Our rule: always supervised outside

Here are King Escobar and his son DaMilkMan out playing. One thing we never do: let our bulldogs out totally free unless they're supervised, just in case something bad happens. They have a lot of room to play, but they're always watched.
