Episode 5 - Taking Care of Puppies and Preventative Care for Dogs

Hi my name is Jason Soares and welcome to DaBestBulls Ranch so today we're going to be going on a vacation with the puppies that's gonna be really cool you're going to see us vacation and how work doesn't ever never stop and then we're also going to be going over super super important things like preventative care as far as just preventing bad things from happening to your dog preventing disasters preventing theft preventing all kinds of things that you either think about or you don't think about and the little tips and tricks that that we use to make sure we prevent our dogs and keep our dogs safe.

The best bowls ranch life is a 24 7 job I don't care what you say it is if you're involved with with dogs or any kind of program that you're that you're trying to put together you have to be 24 7 into it and if you're not you're gonna see bad things happen you're gonna it's just not gonna work out well for you in my opinion so I'm showing you this because the best pool's life never stops so we have puppies and um and I have my my mother-in-law watching the the um facility and I don't trust just anyone to watch facility I mean honestly I want to be back now give me crazy anxiety um but she's trustworthy I wouldn't leave it to anyone else.

She's family and it's great but we had puppies I don't trust the name of my puppy so are the puppies with me now the reason I'm showing you this I'm showing is you just how committed we are is that you see right there that's where I slept last night we got in at 3am last night and I knew we were gonna be in the boat for about five hours so because we were gonna be on the boat for five hours I actually um they even turned I was actually sleeping head to head with her and I was wake up make sure she wouldn't move um because the reason I did that is because I knew they were gonna be on the boat for five hours.

Six hours and um and I need the puppies to be super nourished and fed so I slept with her and the puppies stay on her the whole time until um nine to him when we left and then uh the movies are good so I mean he started there and I really slept on the freaking wood wood floor we had two bedrooms downstairs and everything tons of beds but I needed to make sure the puppies are good and they wore everything went really well and um and the gift is going well so just showing you that it's a 24 7 24 7 the best bowls life no matter what but it's the best life so leaving the dogs and knowing that you know they're my babies.

And stuff it's very very hard to me and I very rarely leave um but sarah and her family they want to go on vacation we want to go to steinhatchee which is on the west coast of Florida where we go scalloping and it's a fun experience we we went for three days and uh but that's super stressful for me and I would never leave my dogs with anyone I'm very untrustworthy person is I just you know I'm just like that you know I always think worse gets narrow.

One of the big things that people don't think about or if you think about it's great but one of the big things is you have to worry about theft and it's sad in this day and age um and it's overall there's always going to be theft but it's just it's sad and it sucks because like like I've said as many things you can do to prevent bad things from happening the better for example as many as many um layers I mean like for example if we're worried about thieves we want locks we want gates we want doors we want privacy so they can't even see the thing we want monitoring with camera we want monitoring with myself and I want security with other dogs.

With other people with other animals so that there's so many layers there so you always have to be on guard and just very aware about about ceiling and I'm over aware of that business man if someone steals your dog almost like an innovation dog back so depending it's relative to where you live for me I live out here so we have fencing we have neighbors that we know very well we don't have many neighbors I have cameras um cameras are huge for lots of reasons the cameras are huge on on being able to catch thieves um making sure thieves can't get in is huge you know like in our facility we have walls we have locked doors we have gates we have everything we have.

Locks we have all these all these things we have people monitoring them we have we have guard dogs we have me we have guns for our protection safety we have everything and then on top of that make sure you you just know who's coming to your house you know I don't like most of the time with with stealing and thieves it's normally an inside job someone that's been your house or someone that knows someone's been in your house you know so it's a big deal now there's other things that we go as far as preventative and these are huge which is overheating the the house or the or the facility you have the dogs in the ac breaking the power going out all these things.

Are huge huge uh problems and the dogs I mean if dogs in the house or a facility depending on the size of the facility and the insulation you're talking about and the heat outside you're talking about one to three or four hours until that inside is so hot that the dogs get get over here and they die another layer that we have is the generator we went above and beyond we went with a 24 kw generac generator that has the automatic turn on switch so if power goes out for a second that thing jumps on uh so the january was a big mission and be my neighbor helped me out he actually hooked me up with the ace hardware owner and that guy was.

Able to get me everything give me the 24k generac before hurricane season before they're freaking all about out and then the interesting 500 gallon propane tank so we put that we loaded everything up on the trailer and that was a mission and then my other neighbor when we got here helped me brought over the tractor and we helped unload everything so we're talking about a thousand pound uh fuel tank and generator I don't know it's probably six seven hundred pounds I don't really know but we unload everything to the tractor and it all went smooth how we got everything loaded and now the next step is getting the getting um it all hooked up and we'll be we'll be showing you that as well.

Too and then once it's running I'm so excited for that and so excited for the peace of mind that's going to give us the power going out is a huge thing especially we're sort of you know off the grid on not the best power source we're not fbl we're on a private I think it's called duke energy and.

Um and so if the power to go out for example we went to the beach at noon and got back at five that's five hours at the tire went out and the facility might overheat especially if we're talking we're in a 100 degree day so that automatic generator gives me so much peace of mind on top of like I said all my layers my my temperature gauges my three different temperature alert gauges I have um I have three different temperature alert gauges I have eight I have cameras multiple cameras I have all that stuff but let's say the the the power went out or the wi-fi went out let's say the internet service went out so now they're not giving me alerts I do know that.

I have I have um the generator that's in coming automatically so they're just different layers if this thing happened bad thing happens this thing takes over and then other preventative care is for you see the flooring that kilo kilos in that flooring right there I had to put that there because and this is it comes from experience when you have a smaller dog like he's a micro his feet are smaller his feet gets stuck in the cracks and I came home one time and he was just stuck and luckily it was like I don't leave the dogs alone long but that if he's there for eight hours they might cut off the circulation of his foot and he might lose his foot or something you.

Know so those are just crazy things um so the number one you can't beat just monitor monitorization meaning you're going to be there for them I'm gonna keep on saying it being attentive you know being paying attention is the biggest thing and there's nothing that that um to supplement that but I know that you can't do that all the time so that's why layers are so important so that's another reason why you should um I mean like I don't agree with people just doing this doing doing dogs to make money you should they should be your your pets first uh and then if you're gonna do you know a breeding program it should be done responsibly but that's like that's why these dogs shouldn't be.

Locked up all the time and that's why you have to spend time with them and the reason I'm saying that's why because if you don't you won't even know how your dog's feeling like I know how all my dogs are feeling is I take them out and I see them you know play and even when they're going to be in their kennels and stuff they're they're they're pens and stuff when they go in the big player I'm gonna watch them and I know how kimura is doing I know how my puppies are doing just based on how they're how they're moving out here and I can tell when they're when they're sad and not feeling good like Fury is amazing Escobar is doing great they're.

All just you know doing their normal routine and with dogs if they don't do their normal stuff there's normally something something that matter with them and it's it's almost out there's um normally something to matter that they don't do the normal routine and then that's then then comes the point of okay now we got here what's up but um we got every everyone out here now they bother looking kilo just chilling on the best bulls coop they bother aaron a little bit he's he's building that coop we are so excited for that coop me baby baby leah and sarah I mean sarah it was her coop it is her coop but um it's the best full scoop too but yeah no.

It's coming along good and leah the awesome thing about about the dogs is and taking leah out here is we get to spend time together and she loves just sitting here and just watching the dogs and they'll come they'll come play fear come here here come here come come on here you come completely hurry up see he knows they know her she loves them.

You love him leah yeah where's riley riley come right come right come here this is rari too right come here right up right calm down right come right love you calm down beating it calm don't mess up her shoes and rory loves leah rari's always by me she loves she loves us.

Yeah you like your doggies leah and this is like again I mean I can tell ferrari's not being good because I know rari and I mean I can tell if she's not not feeling well or anything like that that's why it's so important to spend time with dogs and um and making them your pets first right.

This Escobar's is daughter right here come down all these were born in our facility right here they've been with me since they were a second old pretty much I'm always in the delivery room too but it's definitely a fam a family thing and hopefully leah loves it when she gets older and she can she can help us um because definitely the best bulls are here to stay hey baby this girl's so nice it's super sweet girl this girl is like that's where his daughter and like that square has his personality speaking of speaking of the devil asking about what's up man Escobar esky that's keyboard oh sorry that's good that's where yeah we messed it up that's bar come on come on be lazy Fury.

I know you come get down esper come on esky come on come on yeah that's my boy get down guys that's my boy that's where I love leah too I mean honestly all dogs love leah and then they just the bulldogs has a hole like in their activity some are a lot more active than others for example like Escobar he's just gonna go pee poop mark a couple places and then be done the puppies love playing.

Um I just know this girl right here this girl's stacked this is nairobi she loves playing too she's insane she's a full-grown female she loves the play so and they'll just be hanging out they'll be playing in the water pool I mean this is this is our normal day now since since we don't we don't have the pens the pins that they're gonna stay in uh are gonna be four by four inside and four by nine outside so they're gonna have a total of 4 by 13 pen that they're that's theirs and um and that's what they're gonna be in when when we're not watching them or we're not you know not um like at night in the morning we wake up stuff like that.

Now the pen they're gonna have in the back is 150 by 70 and that's where and we can also divide that into a couple different segments if we have a couple girls in heat and we don't want them with the males um and that it's gonna be from the play around in just like you you see now especially when it gets cooler we'll let them out a lot more but as of right now we don't have that that luxury or in private building so it's um we had to let them out three four well actually like four or five times a day my builder's getting attacked by dogs right now come on guys leave him alone look at look at look at him.

President leave a president's the worst none of those ones but so that being said um right now it's just about letting them out and I like to let them out every time depending on the heat um at night it's a lot longer probably the night it's usually about two segments that I'm out around six to eight and then around 10 to midnight and those are like an hour each and they love it um but as far as the activity level of bullets go when they become adults they come out they mess around for a little bit they'll suntan if they feel like it and then they'll just hang out and they just want to be around you so basically they just usually stay around me but.

Right now they're there's so many people here today that they're they're looking I look they're gonna go in the in the best bowls coop now they want to figure out how to get to aaron and they're just very they're just very follow us at the best bulls chicken coop on tick tock Instagram uh facebook sarah's gonna be running this page we're gonna be showing the the growth of the chicken coop as it's whole with the chickens and then stuck at me as much about the dogs but it'd be cool to see our rhode island reds we have some really nice chickens coming in and everything so not not completely done yet um for the dogs as far as why we did this and why we're swimming.

On our dog pages because we built this for our home staying purposes and for the dogs and for us so we can you know feed and feed the dogs fresh eggs every single day and it's big enough that it's going to be able to accommodate as many dogs we have so crazy nice you guys can come in dogs are out we don't have many chickens yet every single thing in this thing is custom.

Other than these the the the cooking things here but this like is made out of the roofing material our builder aaron uh Florida coast naturals is an amazing builder we still got paint now paint everything white and black but these are all kinds like of perches and stuff for the chickens I'm not really a chicken guy um sarah is going be to running the chickens like I said and uh but it's gonna be cool this is like their play.

And then on top of that we also have like we're gonna let them free range we're gonna have a big big area pen outside for them in the back here so dogs are never gonna be here in about a week we should have our chickens in we're getting some really nice rhode island reds we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna raise them um produce eggs and eventually maybe even produce produce fresh chicken come on guys look at the herd come on let's go outside come on.

Yeah welcome come on guys come on so between the the generator and the and then next the railings I'm it's just it's like christmas every day you know like for me I like I said I always if I ever say this like I don't need a rolex if you have rolexes I like roses I'm gonna get one but if you haven't I'm not knocking you but I like the railing is like my rolex you know and it really is it's worth more than the most rolexes that that those doors in the railing uh but these railings are amazing I waited over two months for them to come custom made crazy quality uh um and made exactly I wanted it and it's just it's just it.

Just you know my my vision's coming to to completion so one of the biggest things that that's happened recently is we got the doors in that's like super super exciting to me um we got the doors in these doors are custom made um aluminum powder coated and satin black measured out they're one piece so they're super strong so for example this door is made into this frame the frame fits on there and then the railings and our piece uh we have it's opened we have wood inserts custom-made wood inserts gonna be eastern red cedar that's going to be there and the eastern red sea or divider now on top of being really nice super safe it's gonna keep the dogs in no chance of these.

Things opening cleans everything up now what also what I'm doing too so the concrete this is poured concrete I'm taking out the you know the this stuff which takes forever actually to cut the freaking tape out and sort of seal on the concrete and then now we're gonna we're gonna pop re-epoxy the floor and then epoxy the walls as well walls will be black floor is gonna be a light gray white we're not sure yet and um so that's I'm actually doing that and uh and then when that's all done these things are gonna be so nice we get the the marble facing the cedar divider cedar's here it's gonna look amazing I can't I cannot wait for that honestly the theater should be soon but.

These these these doors took a long time I think we waited two and a half months for them but definitely worth definitely worth the weight we don't have an architect it's been designed by me sarah uh my mom uh um sarah's dad helping us there's a bunch of brains coming together and then we're just putting everything together I'm asking you know guys that own construction companies hey what's the best thing to do for this and then we're sort of putting everything together as we go and it's coming together amazing and it's just awesome to see it all come together the door is coming and now the wood inserts are going to go in there that's going to look amazing um and like I've been.

Saying from the beginning we're building for functionality number one in the dog safety and health and then next is the stakes and it's all going to look amazing so the the the the time the energy and the quality that we're putting into this place is is unmatchable and uh and that's why we're at the DaBestBulls Ranch and it's gonna and that's why we have the name and I love these railings the generator everything we're doing is just all coming together and uh you're gonna see every single episode how everything's blending and everything together and just just like I like to tell you hey this was coming and then two weeks a month later I show you it and uh hopefully it's it's coming out.

Like I say it's coming so the best bulls outside portion of the pens so I like to to show you what we're doing um obviously so you get to stay up to date and see everything and then two it motivates me to make sure I do what I say I'm gonna do so it's filled with water we have it that way on purpose so it's like loctite um and then obviously the the pins are gonna be coming out the back with doggy doors diverses and then we have the roof coming down to here we have the fencing coming here so nothing can get in so I just show you so you can actually see the progress um now the reason it's locked tied up is because we're.

Gonna have a drainage system we actually change the drain a little bit the way the drain's gonna work is every 4 feet there's going to be six inch by four inch hole that's gonna be graded out the bottom of this and that's where the water is going to go and you see how everything's tilted that way that's where the p is going to go that's where the poop's gonna go that's everything and then the back side down here is going to be a drain a big drain that goes all the down way diagonally down there and there's gonna be a 500 gallon sewage tank down there and same thing on the back side it's gonna go down and that that drain will be encased in.

Concrete and covered so you'll never see it and everything's gonna go down and that's that's the design of the uh and that's that's honestly where why we're spending all that money on building this this right here is going to make everything so much cleaner I know I've said it but but uh I can't wait for this to be done it's gonna be I'm super excited next week they're going to be building an overhang and uh we'll be showing you that as well too that that right there is worth its weight in gold you know it's gonna make it so much easier for us so much better for the dogs and uh it's gonna be it's gonna be top of the line freaking state of the.
