How Are Mini and Micro English Bulldogs Bred?
The short answer
Small bulldog to small bulldog, over generations, with careful matching. Consistent parents and grandparents give you consistent puppies, whole litters, not just one or two. It's proper matching and skill, not luck.
Sometimes a breeder brings in new blood, like a top standard-size bulldog, to improve structure and health. That litter may only have a few small puppies, and breeding those on makes the line smaller and better over time.
It's not luck: it's consistency
There's no luck in how we produce mini and micro bulldogs that look like this consistently, every litter, the whole litter. A puppy with this structure has to come from a dog that looks like this: Fury, our mini bulldog stud, his dad. And from the mom, a daughter of DaMilkMan, and the grandpa.
This isn't Fury's first rodeo. All his puppies are good: structure, function, temperament, not just one or two. Consistency in the adults produces consistency in the puppies. Producing the highest-quality puppies isn't luck, it's proper matching and skill.

Small to small, and when to bring in new blood
Mini bulldogs come from breeding small bulldog to small bulldog. But there's more to it. King Escobar is a mini. Say I want to bring in new blood, so I breed him to an AKC world champion standard-size female. Will I get all minis? Probably not. Maybe two small ones out of five, because Escobar always produces at least some of what he is.
Then I keep those two and breed them to another small dog, and now I get small bulldogs with even better structure, health, functionality and movement.
You can breed a mini or a micro to a standard. It waters down the size consistency, but there are real reasons to do it, done right.
