Why Are English Bulldog Puppies So Expensive?

The short answer

Because breeding them right takes years of work and a lot of money: selective breeding, health testing, building structure and temperament, round-the-clock care, and making sure the puppies live long, happy lives.

A cheap bulldog might save you money up front, but those often fall apart fast. What you're paying for is quality, transparency and a program that proves itself again and again.

Why a good bulldog is priceless: three puppies from three different litters.

What you're really paying for

Everyone asks why bulldog puppies cost so much. These puppies are exactly why a good bulldog is priceless: breeding takes years of work. Health testing, building structure and temperament, making sure the pups live long, happy lives.

The cheap option might save you money up front, but those bulldogs often fall apart fast. You're paying for quality, transparency and a program that proves itself time and time again.

These three puppies are from three different litters, between 9 and 13 weeks old, and they're all cute, functional, healthy and good-tempered. That's consistency. My biggest tip: get from a program with multiple dogs that are already what you want, and from parents you'd want your puppy to grow up to be.

A lot of time, dedication and work

Real bulldog puppies are expensive because they take a lot of time, a lot of dedication and a lot of work to do right: breeding for health, temperament, functionality and structure. (Their first time eating: they made a mess, and I clean it up.)
